Help with connection string issues

I've seen this question asked over on asp.net but the material is 2010 and the structure of the IIS interface seems to have changed, so the one word, one sentence replies from experienced programmers were simply too cryptic for me.

I have written a very short asp.net express website with connections to an MS Access 2010 database.  The website functions well in test mode.  However when I try to publish this to IIS I find that the connection string and the database aren't recognized. This website is intended to function in a closed to the outside world intranet application, and anyone who is up to mischief will have an easier time physically accessing the hardware, so normal security precautions are not a concern.

To add detail, I can "see" the IIS index page via my designated Surface Tablet in Internet Explorer 10.

I need "IIS 7.5 for Dummies" level help with this.  Thanks-

Dave
