I just installed Server 2012 and IIS 8.0. Any time I try access any of the files (.htm, .txt. .asp... which is enabled) I get a 500 error. The default web site has been moved to the d: drive. If I open Basic Settings and use "Test Settings" the two tests are valid (passthrough and path is accessible).
I've changed Error Pages settings to show detailed errors but it still shows the generic "web site cannot display the page". The odd thing is that it will show the iisstart.htm page which is still on c:\inetpub\wwwroot.
Any advice on what I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.
