I set my Windows 8 Pro machine back to a fresh install using the tools under General Settings. What I did after that was to use exclusivelly the Web Platform Installer to install first IIS Express and then all of my other development tools like MySQL, PHP, Web Matrix 2 and so forth. What I am wondering is shouldn't Windows 8 Pro be using the version of IIS that is installed by using Programs and Features settings under the Install Programs link in the control panel? Is there some difference between the functioning of the two versions of IIS or some difference in available features?
